Life After Top Model: Lisa D’Amato
Now that it has become painfully clear that being a winner or high ranking contestant on America’s Next Top Model does not necessarily ensure a legitimate modeling career, its no surprise that our old favorites are popping out of the woodwork, and exploring other avenues of recognition where it doesn’t hurt to look hot.
While this would otherwise be a perfect opportunity to, for lack of a better word, talk shit, I have to admit that Lisa D’Amato, the lovable schizoid from cycle five actually doesn’t suck that much as far as her musical abilities are concerned. The aspiring emcee has been performing and making her rounds throughout the LA music scene, all the while rubbing elbows with Shwayze and making bootleg music videos. I’ve always appreciated the girl’s uninhibited spirit and enviable cheekbones, and now it seems as though she’s got some promising rhyming chops to boot. Homemade visuals aside (blame it on “director” Cisco Adler), check out “Trainwreck”, a song to which I actually found myself bobbing my head to.
