I remember in my emerging media class, my research paper said print will be dead by 2015 and everyone looked at me like WTF. Looks like my paper will be proving me right.

I agree. As an avid reader of fashion magazines for the last 15 years, I would hate to see some of my favorite glossies go belly up (I nearly cried when Jane went defunct). The internet is great and all, but as anomalous as it may seem, there are still some people who don't have access to the internet let alone own a computer. A magazine is much like a book-its your own little sweet escape into a world of high fashion fantasy. The internet, while swarming with information is impersonal, detached and gives you grief when you least expect it. You can't take the internet to the beach while relaxing on a towel next to the waves or while chilling in your hammock in your backyard on a sunny day(maybe you could but it would be pretty impractical, not to mention cumbersome) or to work when you need a distraction and its much easier to be discreet. Heaven is curling up on my couch on a rainy day with the latest Elle, which I know is not gonna freeze up on me or take forever and a day for the images to load.

Say it isn’t so!!
