I love this! A fashion spread should not be a controversy, it's fun and showing off the designer duds in a unique way, of course grabbing our attention with its relation to the games :) Lucy Liu looks gorg !

In my opinion, I think it's a mockery - not because of the concept per se, but it was more on the casting. I had the pleasure to work with a great team at MTV years ago. The team was working on the launching of a niche network under MTV Networks for Chinese-Americans, Lucy Liu was invited to record a few short greetings and teasers for the channel's promotional video, but she refused because she (or at least her management team) claimed that she doesn't do any culture-related work. So now why did she agree on doing this editorial? Is it for the sake of publicity? Or is she truly proud to represent her Chinese heritage? Aside from that, the styling was poorly executed. It looks like one of those badly done editorials featured in a local trade magazine...
