This is very, very accurate. Marc Jacobs, one of our generations most overrated designers, is getting compared to Andy Warhol, one of the past generations most overrated artists. Can someone give the editor credit for noticing this parallel and an award to Marc Jacobs for being dumb enough to think this is some kind of compliment.
The best part. In true Andy Warhol “style” photos of the over-exposed designer have been plastered on t-shirts and are being sold at Marc’s Bleeker street emporiums.
Pure commercial joy. Hopefully, this is just the tail end of Jacobs 15 minutes.
