Streetlab New York is an exchange project for Dutch and American ’street based’ (fashion) designers. The idea is to highlight both the differences and similarities between Amsterdam and New York ’street fashion.’ Street art and ’street fashion’ is a form of art that has its roots in different subcultures like punk and hip hop. Trends that are born on the ’streets’ inspire designers. The artists are – fashion designer Elisa Marchesini, photographer Dennis Duijnhouwer, fashion designer Antoine Peters, graphic designer Lennard Schuurmans and fashion designer So Sally.
