I believe that with this Spring 09 collection Proenza Schouler have lost their touch. The shapes of the garments with the over-exaggerated shoulders does not do a woman justice and brings back fashion design about 20 years. The leather onesie is awful, and the plastic insets reminds me of Versace circa the 90s. Even the skinniest woman would look many pounds heavier in these looks. The line between innovation and exasperation has been crossed cause I’m totally over this coal miner meets Delta Burke collection.
