NY Fashion Week: Lerario Beatriz

Brazilian born Ana Lerario presented her Spring 2009 Lerario Beatriz collection at the famous Player’s Club on Gramercy Park. The chic and sophisticated location provided a warm and rich backdrop to Ana’s beautifully feminine and cool collection. Inspired by the wonderfully rich culture of India and the way it influenced British wardrobe in the middle of the 19th century.

Merging elements from two opposite worlds, the designer created an elegant color palette of carefully chosen neutrals – shades of gray, beige and white – punctuated by exuberant colors like red, emerald green, fuchsia and teal. The fabrics also evidence such dissimilarity. Light silk voiles are contrasted by silk jacquards and embroidered silk taffetas, always exceptionally assembled.

Rebecca does not like biographies. They are stupid and she would rather spend her time editing the site. Which she does with great vigor.
