Philip Lim for Birkenstock
Philip Lim has created a pair of Birkenstocks that might actually be wearable. I stress might. The gladiator inspired sandals will most likely sell out, but I’m not convinced on their style appeal. Something about the classic Birkenstock sole that makes me think about hugging trees and fighting against commercialism.
These picts aren’t the most impressive of the series but we’re hoping that at least one pair of the 13 in the series look good. I was addicted to Birks back in my boho days, so it might be nice to relive my bad fashion days.
