A model loses her footing while an intern loses her lunch, we’ve got video!!! Don’t you just LOOOOOVE Fashion Week!!!!
American Express held a private viewing of Phillip Lim’s collection for premium card holders. Andre Leon Talley was the host and the show would just be a quick repeat of his real show, held earlier in the week. Everyone was set to go.
Cue the music, cue the lights and action. Or rather, way too much inaction. Within minutes a model plummets on the runway. Once, twice and she’s down for the count. Apparently, walking is a very exhausting “sport” when you BMI is 0. The crowd gasps as another model is forced to help walk her off the runway.
A few more minutes go by and the crowd now looks to the sidelines. Sitting front row, an intern, who decided a breakfast of champaign and foie gras was enough to keep her stomach at bay. Alas, she fails and as the model goes down her latest meal comes up. A vomitous homage of greens and yellows. Was it political commentary on the state of anorexia amongst the fashion set? Or was it more a sign that someone needs to be watching the prepubescents when free glasses of cheap bathroom cleanser are being passed around?
I’m going with later, cause shit like this doesn’t happen at LVMH events. Best part of course was when the intern decided it was better to sit in her spit up, than loose her front row seat. That’s true dedication my friends, true dedication. Give this girl a medal. (or my contact information, we need gems like her at Fashion Indie).
So what’s the cause of this massive fashion disaster. My guess is the seven day skunk of Andre Leon Tally. Whatever’s going on under those moo-moo’s he’s been draping around can’t be pretty. Boy needs to get back to the tennis courts pronto. Miss Anna don’t need no two seat taking, eyesore ruining her chances of keeping Vogue afloat. It’s fashion Andre, not FATshion.
On that note, goodnight New York Fashion Week. You came in with a bang and went out with a spittle.
