H&M is recreating the statue of David, no not the nude Italian one. A 10ft chrome British one made from the likeness of soccer player David Beckham. To promote the second campaign for the David Beckham Bodywear Line, statues will be erected (pun intended) in retail locations in New York, San Francisco, and LA. 

From August 16th-19th a 10 ft version of the already statuesque David Beckham will be on display in selected H&M locations in New York, San Francisco, and LA. Following last year's steamy editorial campaign, the Swedish retailer is hosting a contest to go along with the weekend display of Beckham's statuesque bod.

Visitors are encouraged to take a picture with the statue and tag their Instagram photos with #HMBeckham to enter to win some Beckham-prizes or even a mini version of the statue itself. The contest will continue through August 31st as the statue circulates throughout the three cities. If you can't make it to see one of the statue locations this weekend, from August 13th-19th you can still receive 20 percent off your entire purchase by including an item from the collection in your shopping cart.

And while this likeness is decorating retail locations across the country, this statue of David is a work of art that you won't be seeing in a museum anytime soon.
