Adele Takes Revenge: Her Plus-Size Collaboration with Burberry

Sep 20, 2012 - by Emily Draznik

It's not often that we see a big designer brand create a plus size line, but British label Burberry has reportedly approached soul singer Adele to be the face of his new line made for their curvier clientele.

Famously French designer Karl Lagerfeld called voluptuous singer Adele "a little too fat" last April, but since issuing an apology Adele has collected her own designer fan club. The creative director of Burberry, Christopher Bailey, has allegedly approached the singer to collaborate on a plus-size clothing line for the iconic label.

While Adele has negated to comment, this is big news for the 156-year old British brand. The brand has already created custom sizes for Adele when she attended the 2011 Brit Awards and the MTV Movie Awards and Adele is just equally a fan of the brand as they are her. In the past she has said, "I've always loved Burberry. I remember saving for three years to get my first bag before I got signed."

Of course Adele  won't ever have to save up for a Burberry bag again after this, she'll probably get a lifetime supply of handbags if she wants. We're just excited to see a high fashion brand support clothes for women who are over a size two. Hopefully more will follow suit and us normal girls who aren't shaped like Kate Moss will still get the equal styling treatment we deserve.
