Anna Wintour Asks Vogue Editors to Pretty Up in Pink for Tonight's Met Gala

Vogue's EIC/HBIC Anna Wintour has reportedly asked the mag's editors to wear pink in honor of Elsa Schiaparelli -- who famously created the color Shocking Pink in her surrealist heyday -- to The Met's Costume Institute Gala tonight.

As the fashion stakes are at their highest during the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual fundraiser, La Wintour is leaving nothing to chance. Showcasing the kind of iron-fisted will usually reserved for dictators, despots and other divas, Wintour is said to have required the Voguettes to send her pictures of their outfits along with several different accompanying hairstyles for her approval.

Meanwhile, how great would it be if everyone just showed up in this and called it a day?:
