Azealia Banks Laps Up New York City Luxury in New Music Video
Sep 27, 2012 - by Emily Draznik
Fashion darling Azealia Banks just keeps the fast and fashionable music videos coming. Her latest video for Luxury prominently features her two repeat 90s backup dancers and the New York skyline. And we just can't get enough.
Keeping sass and fashion on the forefront, female rapper Azealia Banks has the fashion industry smitten. With her latest music video for Luxury, the singer and her trademark potty mouth raps along the streets of New York City. Much like her previous video 1991, the black and white vid directed by Clarence Fuller features the two same back up dancers and Banks' Vogue-esque dance moves.
Banks' cutesy swagger is the perfect compliment to her dirty lyrics. The raven haired beauty chants, "Imma nick your name and keep you right there" in between hanging with her NYC posse and hanging by the Empire States Building skyline. The rapper may be spending a lot of time in the U.K. and LA lately, but this video is a tribute to her home town of New York City.
Azaelia was the New York Fashion Week hot after-party act to have with the rapper performing for M.A.C. Cosmetics and SPIN/Refinery29. Luxury is off of the singer's Fantasea mix tape, but she's slated to release her full album Broke with Expensive Taste come February 13th.
Azealia Banks has done some controversial sh*t during her budding career. If you think her videos are sexy, then you should know about her cover of Dazed & Confused that was banned from seven countries.
