BROADCAST: Top 5 Reasons to Go Under the Knife

Over 1.6 million laid down the loot for beauty last year. Plastic surgery becomes ever more popular by the day, and there are countless reasons people choose to endure pain for beauty. And you know what? They've got a point. So does Nicki Minaj. Here are the top 5 reasons plastic surgery is a good idea.
5. Become an international superstar á la Nicki Minaj and Joan Rivers.

Nicki Minaj catapulted to fame with a bit of plastic surgery (and some irresistible tunes). A boob job, nose job, and, allegedly, butt implants later, she's on top of the world shaking what her doctor gave her.

Joan Rivers's plastic surgery is a conversation piece. And she typically makes it so. When not spearing celebrities for their awful sartorial choices, she's standing up and joking about her ancient/brand new face. I mean, for 105, the woman looks fantastic.
4. You're running from the law and/or mafia.

Be your own Witness Protection Program and make an about face. If you're in a bind and need to hide, change your facial features, get a boob job and dye your hair. You're a new you!
3. You're getting old and experiencing a midlife crisis.

You tanned with baby oil and reflectors. Your skin can't get worse, can it? Time for a face lift.
2. Technology is advancing, which means healthier and safer options.

For instance, if Botox irks you, try collegen enzymes instead. And there are many different options for breast implants; where there used to only be silicone, now saline is an option. With the tools improving, surgery is proving less risky.
1. You are the master of your destiny. Do what makes you feel good.

If getting cosmetic surgery will positively enhance your life, who is anyone to judge? What if you were in a horrific accident that disfigured you, would anyone pass judgement when the surgeon corrects it? It's your life, your body. Do with it what you please.
