We are really starting to see a resurgence of Andy Warhol lately and the newest brand to jump on the bandwagon is none other than Campbell's Soup. The manufacturer is creating limited edition cans that are inspired by Warhol's most famous painting.
How has someone not thought of this sooner? Coming in on the coattails of an Andy Warhol makeup line for Nars, the artist has now inspired a brand that was featured in one of his most famous works of art. Campbell's Soup.
The food manufacturer is slated to release a limited edition set of Campbell's soup cans that mimic Warhol's famous painted version. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Warhol's "32 Campbell's Soup Cans" the Warhol inspired tomato soup will be sold at Target location retailing for $.75 a can.
Warhol was very famous for loving Campbell's soup and the company sent him cases of it. Now 50 years later, you can start the world's most fabulous food drive and collect Warhol inspired soup cans. Although you may not want to eat it for another couple of months after. Luckily canned food takes a long time to go bad.
