Speculation and conjecture are the bread and butter of the fashion industry -- if anyone in fashion ever ate carbs, that is. And the latest bit of news to hit the rumor mill is that Carine Roitfeld's much-hyped return to the magazine arena could come as soon as this fall.

Roitfeld is reportedly in talks with the media group behind Visionaire, V Magazine and VMAN. It would make sense considering the former editrix has a long history with Visionaire and recently guest edited issues for both V and VMAN. She's been seen a lot around the company's offices as of late with hearsay claiming the mag could launch later this year.

Much like Lindsay Lohan, I've never been one to put much faith in rumors, but this is one I certainly hope has some inkling of truth. [WWD]
