Cate Blanchett's New Career As a High Fashion Hand Model

The gorgeous and talented Cate Blanchett can do no wrong in my eyes. She's always a welcome -- sometimes demanded -- presence in film and a striking subject for fashion photographers. In May's Harper's Bazaar Australia, the Oscar winner subtly displays for Will Davidson's lens the grace, and ability to grab at nothing and seemingly everything all at once, that any hand model worth her salt should know.

Jillian Davison provides the elegant styling with gowns from Romance Was Born that frame Cate's delicate digits. Is anyone else feeling inspired? If so, it should look something like this:

Checking your weave:

And on a related note, these dresses are absolutely beautiful. Romance Was Born's love of "kitsch Australiana" (I had no idea that even existed or even what it is, but i'm completely on board) informs their line of finely-tailored and craftily-constructed garments.

I would certainly call those curtain tassels a work of crafty construction. Scarlett would be proud.
