CELEBULITE: Chris Noth Thinks the Press Killed "Sex and the City"

And he's probably right. I think it was team effort from the press and the Sex and the City franchise itself. It could have died a noble, natural death when the show ended, but we all know that didn't happen. Chris Noth's thoughts after the jump...

At the premiere of Philip Seymour Hoffman s directorial debut, Jack Goes Boating, Noth spoke to New York Magazine about Sex and the City.

Its over. The franchise is dead, Noth said. The press killed it. Your magazine f***ing killed it. New York Magazine. Its like all the critics got together and said, 'This franchise must die. Because they all had the exact same review. Its like they didnt see the movie. Got any more gum?

And yes, he really did ask for a piece of gum. I'm sure there was humor in his statement, but there's truth to it as well. Even though I'll stand by my opinion and say the show should have stopped at the show.
