Electroluminescent Collection Stars in New Creator's Project
Oct 26, 2012 - by Jessica Lapidos
We've been spacing out on prints of the universe, from galaxy spandex to 3D motifs, but Vega Wang has taken it lightyears beyond that. This new constellation collection is electrically glowing.
There are many stars in Alpha Lyrae, but with Vega being one of the brightest in the constellation, and Lyrae being the goddess of weaving, the star we're seeing shine forward is Vega Wang with her glowing new collection titled Alpha Lyrae. "It represents my view of the universe as a life form. It's a story about the entire life of the universe from its beginning to its end." And to illustrate that story, she is using electroluminescent material that lights the fabric blue when in contact with an electrical force, space age 3D projections by UFO to bolster the presentation. With Vice and Intel as the support system, this Creator's Project is one of the brightest yet. Watch some behind-the-scenes video and hear directly from the designer.
