Fashion Forward Gets a Helping Hand from Model Citizens
Sep 23, 2011 - by Lester Brathwaite
Fashion Forward celebrates "the fashion industry's longstanding commitment to fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic" as well as remembers "the talented and gifted individuals of the fashion community," and brings together New York City "for one of the premier fashion events of the fall season." This year, a bevy of professional beauties including Crystal Renn, Jenny Shimizu, Andrej Pejic, Travis Cannata and Givenchy muse Lea T. donated their time and their turning to star in a promo video for the GMHC's annual fundraiser, directed by Jonathan Turner and Jason Farrer and cast by Andrew Weir for ACW Casting. Check it out after the jump!
Meanwhile, Brad Goreski of The Rachel Zoe Project fame and Tracee Ellis Ross of Girlfriends and Diana Ross' daughter fame will co-host this year's Fashion Forward, held at the Metropolitan Pavillion on November 17th from 7-10 pm. The evening will consist of a cocktail reception (as if there's any other kind of reception), an auction and of course what fashion event would be complete without a runway show? Tickets are available for purchase here. [WWD, GMHC]
