FashionIndie Road Trip: Invading your Hometown this Summer!
Jul 09, 2012 - by Jessica Lapidos
Indies, start your engines. I, your Fashion Editor, will be driving coast to coast to coast in search of the realest, coolest, most independent fashion to walk this nation. I'm scouting local boutiques and their rad owners, small town designers with big city designs, Main St. streetstyle, and what precious junk the country is hauling out to thrift stores. We'll see what happens when NYC style hits Middle America. I've marked out the route. Who's coming with?
This is the planned route: New York, N.Y. → Richmond, V.A. → Wilmington, N.C. → Savannah, G.A. → Miami, F.L. → New Orleans, L.A. → Austin, T.X. → Lubbock, T.X. → Santa Fe, N.M. → Fort Collins, C.O. → Salt Lake City, U.T. → Reno, N.V. → Lake Tahoe, C.A. → Eureka C.A. → Portland, O.R. → Seattle, W.A. → Big Sky, M.T. → Minneapolis, M.N. → Chicago, I.L. → New York, N.Y.
With awesome indie stores and designers already in touch, we're looking for far more. If you have any fashionable suggestions along the route, we want to know! Hit me up in the comments, or tweet at me @JessicaLapidos @FashionIndie #INDIExUS.
Thursday, July 12th is the day of departure. Till then, see what it takes to pack and prep for a month on the open road.
I'm doing this for you, dear readers. Join me on the journey!
