Were Hiring! FashionIndie Seeks a Fashion News Editor
Jul 30, 2012 - by Lester Brathwaite
My tenure at FashionIndie is sadly coming to a close but with the slamming of a door comes the smashing of a window. FashionIndie will soon need a Fashion News Editor to report on the who, what and wear of fashion. Read on for details and how to apply.
The Fashion News Editor will be responsible for reporting on, you guessed it, the news offering an irreverent but informed take on the industry. The position requires an understanding of and interest in fashion (duh), strong writing skills, an attention to detail and a decent grasp of sarcasm.
As the Fashion News Editor, you will scan the interwebs for the latest news and write six posts, roughly 250 words each, throughout the day. That includes anything from the latest tweets from Karl Lagerfeld s cat to the copyright infringement lawsuit of the moment, all in FashionIndies distinctive voice.
For examples, simply check out our News Section.
If this sounds right up your runway, send your resume, a brief cover letter, three original (previously unpublished) sample posts covering current news and your Twitter handle over to [email protected]. Make sure to follow these instructions or else we'll know you didn't bother reading the post. And reading is fundamental.
We look forward to hearing from you and, of course, mercilessly judging you.
