Whether Lindsay Lohan will do a serviceable job as the legendary Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming Liz & Dick is yet to be seen, but if we're to base all our hopes on one picture, might as well be this.

In the first official photo from the production, LiLo's Liz -- who looks stuns by the bye -- is enraptured by her Richard Burton played by professional hottie Grant Bowler of True Blood and Ugly Betty fame.

Shot last Tuesday at Lifetime studios, the pic demonstrates some of the "explosive chemistry" said to be had between the two leads. Actual filming began yesterday morning but we'll have to wait a few months to be dazzled/underwhelmed by this, yet another chapter in The Lindsay Lohan Comeback Story.

Either way, I'm excited. Not gonna lie to ya, readers, I haven't looked forward to a Lifetime Made for Television movie this much since Shirley MacLaine tossed on some Chanel or Jennifer Love-Hewitt tossed off her pride and the majority of her clothes. [E!]
