Our first official boutique stop was in Richmond, Virginia, at a store whose name seemed to embody all of my thoughts earlier that morning while packing a Nissan Cube with a month's worth of supplies I'd need. After 6 hours and 340 miles of driving, we stepped into a store ripe with all of the necessities I'd had on my checklist: Locally handprinted neon tops, striped vintage wide legs, sturdy bags made nearby, and key men's pieces in bright colors. The first piece I want to show you is this K/LLER collaboration with Need Supply Co. The Brooklyn jewelry makers sculpted Virginia realness into the shape of the VA state bird and motto. Sic Semper Tyrannis is etched into this Cardinal skull , and it means, "Down With Tyranny." Hello indie.
