Gucci Group Getting Ready to Sue the Cadbury Bunny
Jun 14, 2010 - by Fashion Indie
Gucci's not a fan of being associated with chocolate. They're claiming Cadbury's recent campaign is reminiscent of McQueen's 2006 hologram show, in which a 3D Kate Moss floats and spins in the dark. Not surprised, they both had the same director.
Do you think Gucci has reason to sue? You can check out the McQueen Hologram here and the Cadbury Flake ad here. Both were directed by Billie Walsh.
Cadbury claims, "We were aware of Baillie's work with Alexander McQueen and others when we commissioned him to reflect the delicacy and fragility of the folds in the Flake bar. We felt Baillie's unique house style was exactly what we were looking for,"
So, did they steal, or should an artist be allowed to duplicate his best work?
