Can't Afford a $10,000 Gucci Premiere Gown? It's Ok, You Can Still Buy The Perfume

Following last year's gold bottled fragrance Gucci Guilty, the house of Gucci celebrates its iconic status with their newest scent: Gucci Premiere. Inspired by the highly coveted gowns of the Gucci Premiere couture collection that debuted at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, the fragrance allows your to feel like a glamorous movie star, without breaking the bank.
With one of a kind designs that start at $10,000 a pop, a Gucci Premiere gown is not for the faint at heart. Limited edition pieces are seen almost exclusively on red carpets or black tie galas. To get your hands on one, you have to be in either Italy or New York, and make a private appointment with Gucci designers. Gucci CEO Frida Giannini wanted a special scent to go along with the women she designed these dresses for, hence Gucci Premiere. "For such a successful woman, something remarkable was required. Gucci Premiere is intriguing, seductive, as is the perfect couture gown.
The scent is strong, feminine and slightly woody. Bergamot and Orange Blossom top notes that smell like a sweet champagne combine with heart notes of brilliant white flowers and a sensual musk of petrulli and smoky leather. Overall, it is made for a woman who wants to feel sweet, sensual, and uber-glamorous.
Even the bottle itself is a gift. The stamp on the bottle's cap resembles the actual label that goes inside a Gucci Premiere gown and on the bottle's neck is the brand's signature Gucci horse bit. With the same gold, heavy look of an Academy Award, and the liquid gold paint the bottle is dipped in is actually translucent if you hold it up to the light.
The brand found inspiration in women like Jackie Onassis, Grace Kelly, and Audrey Hepburn. This is all about Hollywood glamour, the red carpet, making heads turn, flashes going off, paparazzi P&G Prestige VP Alan Ginsberg stated. That was why they chose red carpet staple Blake Lively to head the entire campaign. Her youthful, fresh look combined with old-school film star cinema was just the look Gucci was looking for when casting their Premiere muse.
One of our favorite fragrances for this holiday season, get glamorous and pick up a bottle of your own.
