I don't know why, but apparently there is this huge divide on whether men wearing tights is appropriate in public. Some say that it is fine for the runway, but not for the streets. I see how it would be a bit weird to see your 55 year old dad picking you up from school in a pair, but just like many fashion trends, it isn't made for everyone.

I actually own a pair of jet black tights that I seldom wear. Honestly the only time that I've worn them in public is to go for a run on a winter day or to a dance class.  People don't look at me strange while I do that, but would it make a difference of instead of athletic wear that I paired my tights with a long printed tee and a funky blazer?

For me the only reason I haven't donned a pair is pure hesitation. Working in the fashion industry, I have quickly learned that nothing is off limits, but that doesn't mean the rest of the world agrees. I think some people have a problem with guys'  "junk" being on display which is no problem if put together with the right undergarments and tops.

Can this style be worn outside of fashion parties and runways?  For instance: The grocery store, job interviews, meetings, and walking about town?
