Jesus is my Stylist

We fell in love in a holy place...

Inspired by the holy man's signature crown of thorns, a new batch of barbed headbands are hitting the bloggies hard. Some are delicate with fine metal points, others combine dark leather with tall spikes for a punk-rock feel.

Adornments which give edge to any outfit, offsetting frilly blouses and cozy sweaters by providing stark contrast, we're suggesting trying  the look with a black leather purse and boots to enhance the nirvana of the grungy feel.

A few tips for rocking this urban tiara.

1. Headbands look great with hair up or down. Try this accessory with a high ponytail or a disheveled, half-up style.

2.  Pushing hair back with a headband can look childish.  If wearing your hair down, slide the headband into hair, leaving some lengths in front of the ears and around the face.

3. For an off the face look, back-comb a section at the top of your head, brush out the top surface, twist once and pin. This will create lift where you need it while keeping your sides smooth.
