One of our favorite pieces from Paris Fashion Week would have to be the buzzed about "hula hoop" Chanel bag. Well The Telegraph  interviewed Mr. Karl Lagerfeld himself and here's what he had to say about it. 

The most fantastically impractical accessory from Paris Fashion Week thus far would have to be the "hula hoop" bag from Chanel's Spring 2013 line. The bag itself is expansive and the hula hoop sized frames nestle a traditional quilted Chanel bag inside. Karl Lagerfeld's explanation? It's for the beach!

Lagerfeld stated, "It's for the beach. You need space for the beach towel, huh? And then you can put it into the sand and hang things on it."

Well let's hope that beach towel is Chanel. And while we make our way down to the beach, hopefully we don't unintentionally swat away unsuspecting loungers with our massive beach bag, but knowing Karl that was probably the intention.
