Karl Lagerfeld Takes the Big Apple
Oct 23, 2012 - by Emily Draznik
Infamous fashion personality and the creative director of Chanel is coming to the big city to shoot his latest campaign. Proving how much he hearts NY, Karl Lagerfeld is going to shoot his Spring 2013 campaign in New York City.
Karl Lagerfeld is definitely a controversial personality. With his recent denouncing of anorexia stating that fashion is completely unrelated, the designer is not afraid to speak his mind. Which makes sense that he wants to shoot his latest campaign in the town that talks the fastest. New York City.
Borrowing veteran model Stella Tennant and relative newbie Ondira Hardin, the Chanel Spring 2013 ads are going to paint a picture of a Manhattan fairytale. Always multitasking, the designer will be shooting simultaneously a fashion story for Harper's Bazaar and speaking at a Woman's Wear Daily fashion summit while he is in the American fashion capital.
You truly can't keep him a Lagerfeld down. While he may have an opinion on everything, when it comes to work we're pretty sure he'll never retire.
Karl Lagefeld says some pretty controversial things without thinking. Read more here about his views on eating disorders and their relation to the fashion industry, where he believes there is not one.
