Kate Lanphear is Leaving Elle Magazine
Nov 16, 2012 - by Emily Draznik
There was a rumor going around yesterday that Style Director Kate Lanphear was to be leaving Elle Magazine. To our dismay, the reports were confirmed and Elle looks to be losing one of its leading creative stars.
In another move that is surely to make 2012 the biggest editorial shake-up year in the past decade, Kate Lanphear is leaving her title as Style Director of Elle Magazine.
A spokesperson for the magazine confirmed to Fashionista stating, "Kate is an extraordinary talent and we thank her for her many contributions during her six years at ELLE. We wish her the best of luck in her next chapter"
So what's next for the style maven? She reportedly had an interview with WSJ and while she hasn't ended up with Deborah Needleman's job yet, speculation is still up in the air what her next step may be.
Nina Garcia just got a promotion from the new editor-and-chief at Marie Claire. The magazine maven joins Alex Gonzales from W Magazine as the Creative Director of the publication. Read more here.
