The only positive point about summer coming to an end is the string of fabulous end-of-season sales all around the city and online. Because NYC summers usually last well into September, we're all feeling a wardrobe refresher is needed to layer with our lighter fall pieces, just in time for Fashion Week. Now is the time to buy, but we understand the sale racks can be intimidating. Here are the FashionIndie editors' picks for favorite end-of-season sales - we scoured the racks so you don't have to.

Saks Fifth Avenue - Saks always gives us something to look forward to when a season is ending. This Ports 1961 dress will take you into fall, and you'll pay $360 LESS than the original price.

Housing Works - Even if you can't enjoy the phenomenon that is Housing Works from the comfort of NYC, you can shop the incredible deals online. The sales on top of their everyday low prices are amazing - this Hawks by Geren Ford top is only $12.

Buffalo Exchange - Walking into this thrift store is like walking on the clouds of happiness all through the year. But you can snag some fantastic end-of-season deals, like the Miu Miu leather shoes I bought for $33 last week. Find a store near you via their website.
