Kim Kardashian Settles Lawsuit with Old Navy
Aug 31, 2012 - by Emily Draznik
Remember when Old Navy put a Kim Kardashian look-a-like in one of their commercials and the reality TV star countered with a lawsuit? Well that's finally been settled. Because apparently Kim can't have an impersonator out there who isn't a drag queen.
Budget retailer Old Navy poked fun at celebrity Kim Kardashian's Hollywood lifestyle and in their C-U-T-E ad. The advertisement starred a Kim lookalike running around singing about how adorable she looks no matter what the situation. Kardashian countered by suing The Gap (who owns Old Navy) claiming that they were trying to tarnish her reputation. Because it was so squeaky clean to begin with and besides, she'd never be caught dead in Old Navy Jeans.
Kim sued for an undisclosed sum that Old Navy owed her because of the confusion between her and the doppelgänger actress Melissa Molinaro.
Kim's party stated, The lawsuit was resolved to mutual satisfaction of both parties, but beyond that its the only statement we have.
So there's no more news besides the fact that the lawsuit is over and that Kim won't have to worry about people mistaking her Citizens for Old Navy anymore. She can also reassure Kanye that she has indeed, never stepped foot into an Old Navy and that's one less brand he has to clear out of her closet.
