Kno Clothing: "Fashioned To End Homelessness"

Apr 27, 2012 - by Zosia Baroody

Do you get buyer's remorse after dropping an entire paycheck on frivolous shopping? Have you ever felt you're not giving back to our planet enough? If you said yes to either of those questions, fear no more - we've found a company that is the perfect mix of fashion, environmental consciousness and social benefit.

Founded in 2010, Kno Clothing has been taking the fashion industry by storm.  A socially-conscious company based in NYC and Philly, Kno Clothing strives to end homelessness through fashion.

Kno Clothings founders Anthony Thomas and Steven Caldwell want their brand to raise awareness and encourage consumers to start buying more socially-conscious clothing. The brand supports eco-friendly growing methods by using fair-trade organic or post-consumer recycled cotton in their garments, so you can feel good about what youre wearing. But what makes Kno special is that for every article of clothing purchased, another is given to someone without a home. Additionally, 50 percent of profits are donated to help end homelessness. Since its 2010 launch, Kno Clothing has given out over 600 articles of clothing and helped house over 12,000 individuals. Wowza!

Yesterday, Kno Clothing released their Spring/Summer 12 Collection, which features a simple yet chic take on this seasons trends and accessories. Here are some of our favorite pieces.
