Lana Del Rey Debuts a Darker Do at GQ's Rendezvous

Singer Lana Del Rey and her pillow lips follow the red carpet wherever her platformed pumps may take her. This time around, she waltzed over to the GQ's Man of the Year Awards in a romantic satin gown with a new dark brown hair color that has us reeling.
Not one to be upstaged, Lana Del Rey (sans her trademark handbag) made a surprise appearance at the GQ Man of the Year Awards. Accompanied by fellow indie bad girl Azealia Banks, Lana upstaged the rapper in a monochromatic cream gown that accented her new dark brown locks effortlessly.
Her gown was designed by Australian fashion designer Wayne Cooper to accompany her cover girl status on the "down under" edition of Vogue. While running away with the title of "Woman of the Year" from GQ, Lana has a lot to show for her new title.
Not six months after her disastrous performance on Saturday Night Live, Lana remains to be an upcoming star who refuses to back down. Designers behind the label Mulberry even decided to name a handbag after the sultry singer, her Fall/Winter campaign for Swedish retailer H&M was just released in full, and she has another campaign for luxury car manufacturer Jaguar slated to be dropping soon. With the upcoming re-release of her album Born to Die approaching rapidly in November, Lana's career proves to be on a nonstop track to the top.
And while Lana's career is only in it's beginning stages, we see lots of promise and fabulous fashion moments ahead. And thankfully she's kicking that summertime sadness out our heads while simultaneously breaking all the rules.
