The League of Extraordinary Gentlewomen -- also known as C.Z. Guest, Gloria Guinness, Babe Paley and Slim Keith --  are an endless source of inspiration on nearly every aspect of life. From fashion to elegance to luxury to glamour...okay, perhaps just one specific aspect of life, but it's the best aspect.

You know what really grinds my gears? The dearth of devastating dames nowadays. They just don't make 'em like  they used to -- sure there are exceptions, but for the most part, we're living in a  world of reality stars and pop culture trash. I had originally intended this as one post but found the ladies far too interesting and their stories far too compelling not to give each her proper due. Their lives are basically the Bible by which I am determined to live my life: getting painted nude by world famous painters, marrying royalty and/or the insanely rich (often on several occasions), shutting down international best-dressed lists annually, sabotaging the plans and/or marriages of my best friends -- all while dripping in diamonds and  haute couture. Take notes, kids.
