Lindsay's Rehab Scuffle: Victimizer or Victim?
Dec 22, 2010 - by Lester Brathwaite
Lindsay Lohan's stay in Betty Ford has hit a snag. Well, something's getting hit, anyway. An ex-employee of the clinic is claiming Lindsay drunkenly assaulted her so badly she ended up on worker's comp. But Lindsay denies the allegations and says she's the victim here. I, for one, am disappointed in both parties. This is the Betty Ford Clinic. Save that trash for Promises.
"Chemical dependency technician" (which sounds like a made-up occupation, if you ask me), Dawn Holland told TMZ that Lindsay violated curfew after coming back from a night on the town with her two roommates. Holland was called by security to breathalyze the three ladies, and then Lohan Hulked the fuck out:
"[Lindsay] threw the phone ... I threw up my left hand to block it and then she grabbed my right hand and tried to snatch the phone that I had up to my ear, then called me a 'CUNT BITCH.'"
Them's fighting words. I'm assuming it was this phone grabbing that caused a "severe sprain," landing Holland on workers compensation.
Lindsay, on the other hand, says she wasn't even with her roommates, but was instead getting her hair did. According to LiLo, Holland grabbed and pushed her so hard she began to cry, after which she called 911. She also claims she was perfectly willing to take a breathalyzer, but Holland refused. Lindsay is relying not only on witnesses who saw the incident, but also surveillance cameras, to corroborate her story.
Hmm, it seems both stories couldn't collectively hold a cup of water.
First of all, Lindsay Lohan weighs about 35 lbs soaking wet, so how could she severely sprain someone's wrist? Sure in a coked up, drunken rage, she might have the strength of ten wayward starlets, but as a medical professional, shouldn't Holland have some training to deal with this? And where were the security guards during all this?
In her report, Holland states that she could press charges against Lindsay for "putting your hands on me," to which Lindsay replied, "Oh, you want money."
Well, Holland got her money, approximately $10-$15 K from TMZ for her interview. She's going to need it now that Betty Ford has fired her for revealing the identity of a patient and "disclosing a privileged document. Furthermore, both Holland and TMZ could be charged for violating HIPAA laws, which protect a patient's rights.
As for Lindsay's story, where did she get her hair done that would cause her to break curfew? However, if the witnesses and cameras really exist, the truth will out eventually.
Personally, I think this "chemical dependency technician" is just out to make a quick buck, but joke's on her: Lindsay's broke! Our little girl may not be as innocent in this situation as she alleges, but I don't think she drunkenly assaulted anyone.
And that's coming from someone who's constantly drunkenly assaulting people.
