Man Repeller's Man Repelling Clothing Line
Sep 17, 2012 - by Samantha Lim
Fashion blogger Leandra Medine has been making a splash at NYFW with front row appearances and a new CAA contract. Now, she's taking her brand into a natural extension: a Man Repeller clothing line.
In collaboration with PJK (Patterson J. Kincaid's revitalized brand), Medine will be developing a line for Spring 2013 aptly named Man Repeller x PJK. Creative Director Chelsey Santry said, The collection will be wearable insanity in the coolest sense of the word. It will be whimsical, colorful and playful. There are leather jackets you can wear out at night; quirky graphic Ts, and feminine, girly dresses that go under a big army vest.
Ranging from $198-$398, the pieces are more expensive than the brand's traditional collection, but still hit the average range of the contemporary shopper Man Repell'ing audience. Medine, known for her avant-garde, bold, and purposefully questionable clothing combinations, has a successful collaboration with jewelry brand Dannijo so we are interested to see how her views on the trends and jump into apparel will turn out. Let us know, would you buy the Man Repeller collection?
