Margherita Missoni Marries but Not in Missoni

One does not generally go against the family -- particularly when that family is the sprawling Missoni clan -- but for her wedding day, Margherita Missoni chose a "relative" outsider.

Working from Missoni silk and organza, Giambattista Valli designed the Missoni heir's gowns -- one in white, one in blush pink -- for her wedding to race car driver Eugenio Amos over the weekend at a farm in Brunello.

A half-hour drive from Milan, the wedding drew some fashion folk away who might have been in town for the menswear collections, including Mario Testino, The New York TimesSuzy Menkes, W's Stefano Tonch i, Vogue Italia's Franca Sozzani and Carine Roitfeld  dressed as a gypsy.

Fellow "It" girls Eugenie Niarchos, Tatiana Santo Domingo and Margherita's sister Teresa served as bridesmaids. [Telegraph]
