Matthew Williamson 15th Anniversary

At 15, most young girls will finally receive their first piece of expensive jewelry for their birthday. And while they may have to wait until the day they get engaged for a diamond, something with Swarovski Crystal makes for a good substitute. This goes the same for designer Matthew Williamson and the 15th anniversary for his brand. To celebrate, the British designer is taking trios of dresses and purses from his previous collections and embellishing them with Swarovski crystals.

To be sold exclusively on Net-A-Porter.com starting October 31st, the release will also be accompanied by the exclusive short film XV  starring Sienna Miller, Poppy Delevigne, and Andrea Riseborough. Directed by Tell No One and shot in a 17th century country home, the film takes a peek into the mind of a 15-year old Matthew Williamson, who starts to imagine his own fashionable world. Watch the film above starring 8 ballerinas from the Royal Ballet and immerse yourself into the fairytale imagination of the iconic designer.

Speaking of celebrations, to celebrate the 2012 Olympics British designers were asked to collaborate with modern artists. See who Matthew Williamson was paired up with here.
