What little girl -- or little gay -- hasn't dreamed of a life under the sea? A wise, vaguely racist rendering of a crustacean once advised that it's not only wetter but in fact better down on the ocean floor. Now you too can get your Ariel on with mermaid bodysuits by Vancouver-based 3-Fins.

Inspired by her daughters' love of mermaids, Monika Nauman started designing the tails in January. Made of  bathing suit material, the mer-suits come in a variety of colors and feature a fin to make a real Splash.

But in order to slip and slide into one of Nauman's creations you'll have to (sea)shell out some $245 -- not including shipping and handling.

As for swimming, Nauman claims her bodysuits actually make you a stronger swimmer, but from the looks of the video below, these mermaids are one flipper away from drowning. [Huff Po]
