Miami Swim Week Cheat Sheet: Mara Hoffman
Jul 24, 2012 - by Danika Daly
Mara Hoffman was the most anticipated show this Swim Week and for very good reason. It was a desert girl's tribal print and neon dream with breathtaking variations on her signature prints. The models' hair looked like dreamcatchers with big loose waves and fishtail braids hanging like feathers. The makeup was very dusty and sultry.
Color Palette: Multi-colored print and neon
Mood: Bad girls do it well
Statement Pieces: Nude crop top with neon threading and beading and a black cutout bikini
Front Row Name Drops: No celebrities
Gossip: There were so many RSVPs, some guests who had seats couldn't get in. Even the Real Housewives of Miami were shunned by orders of the fire marshall.
Runway Music: With songs like "Kilo" by Bonde Do Role and "Bad Girls" by M.I.A., the soundtrack to the show should be turned into a mixtape.
