My First Time with Reed
Dec 03, 2012 - by INDIE
A little pillow talk from my first experience with a man who stole my heart...
Reed Krakoff is an award winning designer who caught my attention with his work at Coach, where he was President and Executive Creative Director. After taking the brand through some of it's most profitable years, Reed launched his eponymous line to huge fanfare and praise, eventually winning a CFDA Award.
I've been stalking his line ever since I viewed his first collection on The Cut and have made it my goal to eventually buy one of his signature bags, the Boxer.
Since the Boxer was the bag I wanted, the only decision was what color. At least that's what I thought. When I arrived at Reed's flagship (831 Madison) , I found myself drawn to this pre-Spring Boxer Micro in Royal Blue, which is available for $790.
I skipped the Micro cause I was looking for something that I could use as an everyday work bag. I opted for the larger version of the Boxer and finally had to make a decision between the two above.
So which do you think I chose?
The magenta Boxer, which was actually on sale at the store, meaning I only spent $833 for the bag.
Definitely a perfectly justifiable fashion investment.
I just can't get enough of this bag. You can get your own by visiting ReedKrakoff.com
