Next year, the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute is going to be punk-themed, and it's going to rock, naturally.

WWD is reporting that next year's Met Gala is entitled "Punk: Chaos to Couture" and the iconic event is about to get really epic. On May 6th, 2013 the museum is going to feature 100 men's and women's designs, focusing on the elements that made punk fashionable.

DIY, leather and music are three things that come to mind when we think of punk fashion. The list of designers is excessive featuring Ann Demeulemeester, Dolce & Gabbana and Marc Jacobs to name a few. The experts are expecting to see "dresses with a slight tear or gaps" influencing the red carpet looks on the famously fashionable night.

With Rooney Mara and Anna Wintour seated as co-chairs of the event, we're wondering what the famous pair will decide to rock? Just picture Anna with a mohawk and get on our level.
