Nicola Formichetti's BOFFO Pop-Up Is the Best Kind of Batsh*t

With all the mirrored surfaces in Nicola Formichetti's discoball-esque BOFFO concept store, Nicola's, one might think they had wandered into Superman's Fortress of Gay S&M Solitude.

Designed by Gage/Clemenceau Architects, it's got enough mirrored surfaces to send Lindsay Lohan flying right back into rehab. But you have to admit, it's eye-catching -- just don't catch too much or you might end up with a migraine. But then again, the walls have to compete with a selection of Formichetti's pieces selected from his work with Mugler and of course, that monster mother Gaga.
The kids at Nicola's apparently had a few technical difficulties with their registers on Fashion's Night Out, prompting the stylist-cum-designer to (jokingly, we think) tell everyone to just take whatever they wanted. Luckily for us, everything remained in tact and there's still plenty of Mugler -- both womenswear and menswear -- as well as iPhone cases, jewelry candles, t-shirts and exclusive designs by emerging international designers to go around at 50 Walker St from now until September 21st.
