NYFW Cheat Sheet: Custo Barcelona
Sep 10, 2012 - by Emily Draznik
Custo Barcelona was a lovely mess of mixed patterns, textures, and colors. The men rocked neon sleeveless blazers with patterned trousers, while the ladies donned graphic printed mesh tees paired with layers and trains galore. Life is pretty sunny through rosy colored shield glasses and the athletic inspired Spring Summer 2013 Collection from Custo Barcelona had us a little flush.
Color Palette: Bright tertiary colors accented by neutrals.
Mood: Confident and fast paced
Statement Piece: A graphic shift dress with rope netting underneath a mixed tweed coat
Runway Music: Euro-pop club
Seated in the front row was our friend Jay Manuel again and the mood of the show was very upbeat and lively. The beauty focused on long wavy curls with braids tucked behind the ear and makeup was sponsored by Maybelline. Mixing textures like fringe and mesh, the collection was a trippy ride featuring elements of athletic wear. Backstage we spotted all the Jeffrey Campbell shoes and the patterned neon footwear complimented this fun collection perfectly. Scroll through some of the other looks from the show and gear up for spring, because it's going to be a trip.
