Olympic Style For The Non-Athletic Man
Jul 27, 2012 - by Zosia Baroody
If youre heading out to an Olympics viewing party and want to show your patriotism without being dressed head to toe in red, white and blue, Jason Smith, V.P. of Product for Trunk Club, has come up with these tips to teach men how to appropriately incorporate Team USA s colors into an outfit that displays character without looking cheesy.
Jason stresses that each outfit gets one statement piece. This mandate should serve as the foundation for constructing some solid and stylish looks that could carry a guy across a number of events throughout his Olympics celebrating.
Some of Jasons suggestions for carrying out this rule for Olympics celebrations include:
Making the statement with the Pants - J Brand Crafted Buoy Red Pants ($196) paired with a simple white linen shirt by New England Shirt Company ($165).
§ Making the statement with the Accessories - Jack Spade Red Webbed Belt ($65) paired with Red SWIMS Lace-Up Loafer ($150). These accessories can be put together with a simple white or blue oxford shirt and navy or khaki shorts.
§ Making the statement with the Blazer Luigi Bianchi Royal Blue Hopsack Blazer ($595) or a Bonobos White Chino LinoBlazer ($348). Says Jason I would throw this over a navy gingham shirt, and wear both of them with some dark, clean denim for more formal events on the 4th of July.
