Prada for Topshop? Aldo??

Ha, only in our wildest fashion fantasies. No no, Miuccia Prada has not taken the dive down to Topshop or Aldo for any true collaborations, but her striped soled espadrilles have proven highly inspirational to the many factory farmed designers out there.

Of course the true Prada shoe here is striped from ankle to toe, and the sole has sneaker traction. These shoes are built to last and born to run, and thus may set you back around $700, if you can find them.
Topshop stripes the sole and weaves the wedge for their Prada iteration. Though not available online yet - they're keeping us waiting on the good stuff - they'll hit at $135.
Meanwhile, these yellow Aldo lookalikes run $100, and will undoubtably feel like Aldo's. Though to be honest, I'm digging the Limoncello sole stripe fused with the light brown leather of the sandal.
Desire though you may, if you can't actually get your toes on a pair of Prada's, at least there are choices out there for us that stem from Miuccia's inspirations. Until we're raking in the big bucks and can rest our tootsies in any wedge we damn please, let's take a moment to appreciate where our new favorite mass market shoes truly come from.
