Punk-Rock Chick Turns Dainty, Darling Designer
Nov 13, 2012 - by Jessica Lapidos
It's hard to imagine that this lovely, playful, dainty collection of dresses and romp-around clothing came from the mind of someone who was too punk-rock to model in the late 80s. Corey Lynn Calter launched her own brand a decade after being discovered by, and designing for, Pat Field at 19-years-young, and discovering her skills through outfitting the Opera. Today, her collaboration with Seychelles, and new line Corey inspired by drawings of Henry Darger, "The Vivian Girls" is sold everywhere, even Alaska. Play with the lookbook ahead for refreshing floral corals for Corey Spring 13.

Above are Darger's Vivian Girls, playing vibrantly in the woodlands, in the stripes and jovial prints Corey Lynn Calter has become known for.
