Raf Simons Has a Full Fashion Plate with Fred Perry Collaboration
Jun 01, 2012 - by Lester Brathwaite
The world -- or at least a few dozen people in the world -- breathed a sigh of relief when Raf Simons, previously of Jil Sander, was named the new couturier over at Christian Dior. But in addition to guiding the storied house to a new diaphanous day, Simons is also set to relaunch his collaboration with British sportswear label Fred Perry.

Simons collaborated with Fred Perry for seven seasons before calling it quits with their spring/summer 2011 collection. Come June, however, Raf Simons x Fred Perry will make a comeback during Men's Fashion Week in Paris when it debuts 28 style and color variations as part of the spring/summer 2013 line.
We have great appreciation for the heritage of the brand as well as their dynamism in guiding the brand towards the future, said Simons, who also has his own eponymous menswear label to worry about. Keeping busy is all well and good but the moment Raf starts wearing his hair in a dramatic updo, I want an intervention. [WWD]
